Rebecca Jack

Rebecca Jack

Originally from Knoxville, Rebecca Jack grew up in an artistic household and received a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee. She began a design career in Seattle, painting in her spare time in a downtown loft surrounded by a community of fellow artists. Eventually finding her way back to the south, Jack landed in Atlanta, where she continued to pursue design and grow as an artist.

An intuitive painter, Jack creates vibrant, figurative works that highlight the beauty of imperfection through visible layering, expressive brush work and mark-making. Her figures are boldly unapologetic, exuding a quiet confidence and self-reflective quality. Drawing from her love of design, she is inspired by color, pattern, shape and contrast. She has developed her own unique style; blending the lines of abstraction with the figure. Jack often references images from Classical Roman, Greek and Egyptian history to get inspired, and then lets her imagination take it from there. She explores themes of the feminine, human nature, the sub-conscious and emotions. Jack continues to reside in Atlanta.
